2000's Automotive & Freelance

Don Armstrong has always had a fascination with anything automotive, especially racing, so when the opportunity to
manage the marketing and public relations for a 330 MPH Top Fuel dragster team presented itself in 2006, he floored it.

What he didn’t bank on was the exhausting amount of travel involved on the 23-race NHRA national tour, so it was back
to freelance voiceovers and on-camera talent work. Writing auto reviews in five regional lifestyle magazines including Gulf Coast Mariner, Bay Area Houston and The Islander(Galveston) Magazines was, and still is, part of Don’s freelance scene.

TV

Although still traveling, he’s flying only over Houston now. In August of 2007, Don began reporting on morning traffic
from the Sky Fox helicopter. In 2010 Helicopters Incorporated asked him to be the back-up reporter and videographer
in the ABC 13 Sky Eye HD bird. He continues that today, but Don is now working full-time in this capacity. He works
afternoons, so you can see his video and listen to his reports on the 4, 5 and 6 PM newscasts.

Radio

Don is back on the radio, where his career started. Now he’s hosting a weekly, informative show called, “In Wheel
Time.” This LIVE and exciting car talk show is heard every Saturday morning 9am to noon, Central Time.
50,000 watt Yahoo! Sports Radio 1560am in the number six radio market in America, Houston, Texas. The show is
streamed in both audio and video via the www.InWheelTime.com web site.

BTW

Don is still doing voiceovers and on-camera talent work through the Pastorini-Bosby Talent Agency. He also is a
member of the Texas Auto Writers Association.
